Paying homage to the first African American pilots of World War II
The Tuskegee Airmen were the first all-black military pilot group who fought in WWII. The pilots formed the 332nd Fighter Group and the 477th Bombardment Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps. They were active from 1941 to 1946. There were 996 pilots who graduated from the program. Among these, 355 served on active duty during WWII as fighter pilots.
The Tuskegee Airmen Motorcycle Club was formed in Boston in 2003 by Roy "TOO STRONG" Gows to preserve the legacy of the original Tuskegee Airmen of World War II. He decided to create a unified motorcycle club in their memory and bring awareness to their accomplishments.
Today, in addition to Boston MA, there are clubs in Central New Jersey, Richmond VA, Southern Maryland, and Washington DC.
Our mission is to assist our community through grants, fund raising, and educational scholarships. We are committed to promoting and advancing the sport of safe motorcycling. We want to provide a spirit of fraternity between the Club and the community. We are dedicated to teaching the community the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen with a special emphasis on mentoring our youth.
